Dario Scatena is an internationally oriented legal professional specializing in international law, global mobility, and cross-border legal advisory.

Admitted to the Italian Bar (Massa Carrara) since 2011, he expanded his international practice in 2018 by obtaining certification as a Foreign Legal Consultant for Italian law from the State Bar of California.

International Legal Background

After graduating from the University of Pisa, Mr. Scatena established his practice advising Italian companies operating in complex international environments.

He developed particular expertise in legal advisory involving the Iranian market, assisting companies navigating international sanctions and geopolitical regulatory frameworks.

His academic thesis on the immunity of diplomatic premises in the Iran–USA context was conducted in collaboration with the Crisis Unit of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

U.S. Legal Experience

In 2016 Mr. Scatena relocated to the United States to deepen his expertise in the American legal system.

He obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

In 2019 he became the first foreign intern in history to serve at the Supreme Court of Texas in Austin.

He also gained professional experience in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area collaborating with international law firms and working on U.S. immigration law matters.

Current Practice

Today Mr. Scatena divides his professional activity between Italy and the United States.
